Jack-

Good ole Jack was a veritable half breed. 

The story goes that momma was a Bouvier de Flanders and papa was a wayward, hop-the-fence German Shepherd Police-type dog. Jack was one of six puppies and cost us just $50. 

He was the king of the hill: smart, wiry, and built like a little truck at 120 pounds. He assumed the alpha position over our A.P. Rose, an alpha German Shepherd whose parents were champions in Europe,  and Maggie, our care free Newfoundland.

Sadly Jack died of an intestinal cancer.

We miss the old-dawg!
